Reported by Fidelity ADT: 1 – 31 March 2024 – Attempted break-in – York Street – Medical Call Out – Lyndhurst Road Mileage per vehicle for 1 – 31 March 2024: D19: 853, 753, 807, 829 D20: 857, 876, 912, 984 Callouts per vehicle for 1 – 31 March 2024: D19: 27, 6, 13, 15 D20: 128, 91, 72, 63 Incidents reported to SAPS: 1 – 31 March 2024 – Attempted house break-in – York Street – Attempted theft from motor vehicle – 1st Avenue – Burglary at residential premises – 3rd Avenue – Burglary at business premises – Kenilworth Road – Theft from motor vehicle – Surrey Street – Theft out of motor vehicle – Mathew Road, 3rd Ave – Theft general – 2nd Ave x 2, Gloucester Road, Imam Haron x 2, Princes Road – Common assault – Imam Haron (Arrest), Bell Road – Common robbery – Harvey Road, Roseville Road – Possession of dangerous weapons – Kenilworth Road x 3, 3rd Ave (Arrests) – Possession of drugs – Kenilworth Road x 6, 2nd Ave x 4, Imam Haron x 4, 1st Ave (Arrests) – Possession of house breaking implements – 2nd Avenue (Arrest) – Attempted fraud – Norfolk Street – Fraud – Durham Road, Derby Road, 3rd Ave – Malicious damage to property – Imam Haron – Trespassing – 2nd Ave 49 arrests made in the month of March by Constable Naidoo and De Koker. Thank you Claremont SAPS! Fidelity ADT: We are very grateful for a two week FADT Bicycle Patrol in Harfield Village. It will start on Monday 6th May 2024. The patrol will be Monday to Friday, 6am – 6pm. The FADT Officer will cycle routes in Harfield and will be in radio contact with our 2 Armed Response Vehicles, D19 and D20. More visibility always makes a difference! Thank you FADT for listening to our needs and for trying to help us combat crime in our Village. It is much appreciated! Please take a minute to read some important reminders and notices! A reminder: If you are the unfortunate victim of a crime or attempted crime, no matter how small, please take note of as much detail as possible and open a case at SAPS, as soon as you can. The quicker you go to SAPS, the easier it is to hopefully apprehend and arrest the suspect/s. Take note of the vehicle registration, colour, make, model, number of occupants, gender of occupants, location and what direction they are travelling in. Give a comprehensive description of the individual/s (E.g. W/male wearing red hoodie with a green bag and white takkies.) And please WhatsApp me the case number on 081 412 6109. Report, Report, Report any areas of concern to the City And if the issue persists, please keep logging your complaint as areas are given priority by the number of complaints received. So the more you log, the more chance there is that something will be done!
